Being creative, in any way, is when Katy feels she is at her happiest, as well as conveying her full potential. Story-telling is a medium of creativity that she has been passionate about since she was a child, living vicariously through some of her most beloved fictional characters in her favourite make-believe worlds.

Her writing experience began in 2013 through film, when she outlined her first story and wrote her first script for a project called "Girl Talk".

Cut to 2018, where she planned and outlined an idea for a project called "Colour Coded". From the moment she began typing, she felt completely fulfilled and terrified in equal measure; writing a book was an endeavour she had always dreamed of doing but, never pursued before.

On 31st August 2019, "Colour Coded: The Black Bullet" was on sale through all major book retailers at the hands of Austin Macauley Publishers in London. As everyone had to find their way through a global pandemic, it was a relief after a lengthy delay that the latest novel, "Colour Coded: The Silver Sparrow" was released on 31st October 2022.

And now, book three of the series, "Colour Coded: The White Wire"  is with the publishers as you read this, preparing to hit shelves in 2024.
